Allow me to clarify just what this would do for you, because it doesn't
sound that spectacular on first reading. First of all, remember that there
is a clock signal which, presumably, is also controlling other things at the
same time (like a drum machine). With this clock inverter, the original
funky "Chameleon" line:
/--/--/---/-/-/-/--/--/---/-/-/-
becomes this (to my ears) much more rhythmically "urgent" line against the
original un-inverted clock pulse:
-//----/---/-/-/-//----/---/-/-/
One can foresee all sorts of interesting uses for this effect, and not just
in the domain of funk. J.S. Bach would have had a field day with this sort
of thing (think the "Art of Electronic Fugue").
