Well, this triple lockhart thing has a lot more folds than the Serge,  
which has a fold per section.

OH! I just realized what was going on. Each of the Serge stages turns  
over at about a "diode drop" volts.

In the circuit I did in spice, I put in some gain between each stage.  
That's what's giving more folds.
