well yes, but i'm not planning to ship a module. i'm planning to ship 
a platform. the accessibility of USB is a paramount requirement. the 
168 will probably get swapped out for a 328, but then the board will 
only mandate a footprint, and i'm not going to be selling kits :-)

the shield doesn't work anyway, for reasons explored in other posts. 
the prototype has MOTM power, regulators, and 
interface/isolation/buffering type stuff. the actual board will have 
at least that.

that fails the accessibility requirement, sorry :-)
