Paul,
I've just had some metalwork done for me by a local firm (who I actually
found on eBay) for the E&MM Spectrum I'm building.
A full set of 1.2mm aluminium panels for this synth, formed and drilled to
the CAD drawings I supplied to them cost me a grand total of £115 inc. VAT.
This was for three panels 820mm wide and with over 100 holes precision cut.
The firm is Metaloffcuts and you can find them at this website:
http://www.metaloffcuts.co.uk/
or, at this eBay store
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/metaloffcuts
I'm not sure if they can do full metal boxes (rather than just folding
metal, which is slightly but significantly different), but I'm more than
happy with the work they've done for me.
My contact with this firm was John and it may or may not make any difference
if you mention my name :-)
Regards
Mike Gorman

Guys,
I know a few of you are doing things with metal work but, if I
wanted a metal case made (to hold say 8 foot switches and a display),
would anyone be able to help me?
My metal working skills extend as far as drilling holes, round ones....
Paul
