None of those 'wheels' do what I want - as far as I can make out they are all single-contact-per-key, with velocity set globally.  I want to measure velocity (both note-on and note-off), needing two contacts per key.

Umm, because they won't fit into the case?  Because they will have a different feel?  Because this is synth DIY and I actually enjoy designing the scanner module and writing the software?
