While you're at it, let's get everyone to agree on a standard

* Logic gate - the 74HC00 is 'functionally complete'
* transistor - why would you ever need anything except a 2N2222?
* resistor - you can get any value you need with the proper network of 
1k ohm 1/4W
* etc
