Problem is that, with normal string stiffness, even a moderate
amount of force will bend a string far enough to touch the next
fret section.
You could increase the stiffness, for example by using very thick
non-wound strings but it will affect the playing : if the string
is so stiff that it cannot be bent farther than half-way to the
next string, it will also be hard to make it touch the fret.
