I guess the Banana equivalent is the shorting bar, but that isn't used
as much as it could be, if only because it's a PITA to design for. I
just designed a module that can get fed from outputs of the 266e
Source of Uncertainty, and even with the mechanical drawing for the
266e it was hard to make my module work with it.
As far as normalled .141" jacks goes, you're right Buchla doesn't seem
to use them anywhere. I think that there are some places where using
normalled jacks could be good. For example, I would love to see
normals on the lower row of output jacks be the source for the mixer
that feeds the "all" jack on a 292e. That way you could have a mix of
some of the outputs, but not all of them.
