[sdiy] Tini-jax patch cables

I have a mix of 3.5 mm jacks and "tiny jacks" in my system. I use the
Switchcraft 41's, (and the 42a's for normalizing connections) in all the
custom modules I've built and the 3.5 mm plugs on my cables I use fit fine.
I took my calipers and measured the plugs to be 3.5 mm (most were smaller by
a few hundredths of a millimeter) to make sure. I just went downstairs and I
checked a dozen or so 42a's in modules and loose and the switch reliably
opens and closes each time with the plugs. Wiggling the plug does not cause
the switch to close either. The plug is a nice fit.
I use a mix of cables I bought from Adinfinitum and MCM cables (I think they
are the same cable but Alex adds some colored heat shrink to the ends of
his).
While I understand the concerns, I've not seen any problems with the
jacks/plugs I've used so far. The 41's make a reliable connection to the tip
and the 42a switches work every time for me.

~~ You'd think there would be a good source, wouldn't you?

~~ The cables Buchla sells are the best ones out there, IMO. They are

~~ The minimum orders on these are apparently pretty high.

~~ Other than those, you'd have to roll your own with the Switchcraft
