SV: [sdiy] parts bins

Great idea with the ziplock bags!

Another practical workshop hint: I keep a lot of small marmelade jars for
screws and small objects. When I open up a device for repair or
modification, all screws, bolts and nuts from it go into the same jar, ehere
they stay until the device is finished. In that way screws never come away
or get mixed up with other screws (which are of course kept in other jars).

For bulky objects like pots and 1/4"jacks I use espresso cans. One can for
each value. They are stackable and tend to be numerous in my household ;-)

For small somponents storage I prefer to go with 24-room plastic boxes. Each
box is suitcase-shaped, having two *well-locking* lids, one on either
surface, opening into 12 rooms. In that way I can have for instance logic
IC's on one surface of a box and linear IC's on the opposite. The cases are
easily stored. The lids are transparent and the value of each component is
DYMO'ed to the wall of each small room.

I use one room for each resistor value, which saves a lot of time.
