I agree with Tom on this - in my experience, Steve at SmallBear has a pretty
small markup on his bulk prices.
And, speaking as someone who has imported direct from China and Taiwan,
you only need one deal to have a problem (quality, customs stuff up) to make
you wish you were buying from Steve or a distributor!
OK, I am a tight ass - but really, cost of parts isn't usually the limiting 
factor
in Synth-Diying.
