0.5mm's also no problem for me using an inkjet and a single OHP sheet.
It isn't even opaque, but it's good enough for etching, and pretty cheap
too.

With my earlier printer, I used to run it twice to get the density (I
hadn't thought about using two sheets). The registration was generally
good, but occasionally it would be off.
