hehe I am in Canada and we are officially metric but can't shake off
those pesky americans and their imperial system too ;)

I have seen/used this before. They are very quick to use and pretty accurate.

I had my eye on walnut so hopefully that is not too expensive.

good resource!
I am going to use MFG.com to have different shops from around the
globe compete with quotes. The last time I did this for some metal
panels a company in China actually sent me the panels for free as
samples! In the end I used a Canadian based laser cutter and they got
the panels to me in two days (and super cheap).
I just wanted to be clear on what sort of things I should be asking
for. Knowing that I should specify particular types of mitre joints is
extremely helpful.
I now just need to draw the boxes in solidworks and then make drawings
with enough details that there is no ambiguity and the shops can quote
accurately.
