It was a way to run your Pro-One with one of those new "personal computer" 
things that were starting to appear around then.:-)

You'd remove the 8021 microcontroller, then add a jumper and a resistor to 
the board (pads were provided) and plug a cable into the socket.

I have the tech manual (which I bought at SCI in...1981? not sure), but no 
PDF.
