Hi,

> Here goes... is Analog vs. Analogue (when used to describe instruments and effects) just a case of US vs. UK spelling or is there a more compelling reason to choose one over the other?

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/analogue

The etymology of the word is from the French "analogue", via "analogous" to the Greek "analogos". The English copied the French, and then the Americans bastardised it to "analog". So to be internationally correct I would suggest "analogue".

As for synthesi(sz)er, googlefight suggests the 'z' version gets the most hits.
