I'd go along with this myself, despite considering myself 100% British 
in my spelling.  Analogue just doesn't feel right when writing about 
synthesis.

Just like I use "program" when talking about a computer program, and 
"programme" when talking about a concert programme.

Of course if this is the internet we are talking about, hadn't we better 
ask google? ;)
