I wonder who the first manufacturer was to adopt the 3.5mm jack for  
modular use
because I think the bantam jacks have been around a long time and  
would have
been a good choice. I had a Roland System 100 (Not the 100M) that used  
3.5mm
cords...around 1978 I think.
