[sdiy] Mounting hole size for switch - can't seem to get from datasheet

Basically yes,

The 'M' number is the basic thread diameter, an M6 washer
will fit over an M6 screw thread and an M6 nut will fit the thread
although the A/F (Across Flats) dimension of the nut is actually 10mm...

It follows that when you want to tighten a M6 hex head bolt you
use a 10mm spanner or socket. You can find data tables for
most threads with the relevant information.
