[sdiy] OT: Blackboards

My $0.02 worth:
I had a chalkboard in my bedroom when I was a kid. It was fun, but it
generated a lot of dust.
Paint-on-wood chalkboards do not have that nice, solid feel that real slate
chalkboards in universities have.
As an adult I bought a dry-erase board. I like it much better than my
childhood chalkboard. I've never had trouble with the pens, and they come in
at least six or eight colors these days.
