[sdiy] good pattern synth? (ot)

the evolver does have a pattern sequencer - in fact, 4 of them. But  
you can only tweak 8 steps (out of a possible 16) of each sequencer at  
one time. If he needs full-time access to all steps he can just get a  
midi knob/fader box and set it to the midi channels of the sequencers.  
I think the same thing is true of the mopho (but I've never played  
with one of those).
