Hi, Michael,

I think this is an interesting idea.
How about placing a piece of conductive rubber pad between the strips?
It might give the strips better connection though the pad itself has
some resistance (but not so large).

I've tried thumtacks to make a mechanical sequencer (as a joke).
For it I've used conductive rubber tape instead of metal strip.
Connection was no problem but it was a problem you need to create a
new hole whenever you change the pitch :-)
Looked the rubber strip doesn't last long :-)
