Karl,

You'll definitely want to check out Small Bear Electronics.  They have 16-mm
Alpha pots in all the sizes, both tapers, with both solder lugs and pcb
mounts in three styles (sideways, vertical-short and vertical long -- the
famous Alpha style "42").  I just bought a pile of them for a sequencer
project.  Their $1.25 each, $1.00 for 10+, $0.95 for 25+, $0.90 for 50+, and
$0.85 for 100+.  You can mix the tapers and values of any one style and
still get the quantity discount.
