I think your father should be ready to listen to Christian Prommers. He 
is the Drummer of Fauna Flash. On the Album "Drum Lessons" (which is at 
heavy rotation at my CD player at home), he covered a lot of originally 
electronic music. Also "Autobahn" from Kraftwerk. On his myspace page 
you can listen to his version of Daft Punks "Around the World".
