I know this is a tad off the thread topic, but I had a dog, a purebred black Labrador
Retriever (named Loki) who liked one particular piece of music that I wrote and
recorded. Every time I would play that piece - and only that piece - he would come
down into my studio, lay down and be perfectly still and quiet - without being
commanded to do so. This was always an immediate reaction and without fail. I did
not train him to do this in any way that I was aware of. It was the strangest thing
I'd ever seen any of my dogs do. Unfortunately, he died of an autoimmune disease
that destroyed his platelets when he was only 6 years old. The piece was written as
a demo for a triangle to near-sine converter and can be found here:
