The pk2cmd (which is cross-platform) can do a firmware upgrade (and I
have done so on my Mac), using the given firmware hex file. In fact, it
moans if it's the wrong version - and also they ship the required
version with pk2cmd itself.

However, I've not used ICD2, so can't make any comments on that!
