[sdiy] Gorf prototype Video

Great stuff Paul,
I want one even more than before...

FWIW to answer your Q Dave: ALWAYS bypass 3-terminal regs to stop them
hooting at HF. I know there are commercial designs that don't bother( or
rely on other intrinsic capacitance to nullify the oscillation) but I
cant see any reason not to add a few pennies worth of components and
save yourself some trouble!
Apologies for hijacking the thread, this is just one of my pet hates.

Still want one...

Pete

Hi Paul,

Very cool project. I took a glance at the schematics
(http://www.vacoloco.net/synths/gorf/files/GorF_Schematic.pdf). Once
again I admire the clarity and simplicity of the design. I had a couple
of questions, 1) is there any need for input/output capacators on the
7805, 2) does the AVR need any kind of power on reset?
