[sdiy] can I make this circuit change?

I have a mixer with an input led for *overload*.

I was going to add LEDs for showing signal is present in the input, but 
seems easier if I just make this led signal regular input instead of overload.

r104 is 47k. If just eliminate that resistor I assume this LED will light 
up more often with a lower signal so would show *input*, rather than overload.

That's what I want.
Does that make sense? Should I care about r102?
