Mark, I had a similar dilemma a while ago... the price of Kester REALLY 
jumped. It doubled at some point last year. If I were building something 
for myself I might give the cheaper brand a try... but for something 
that I am building for a customer, I'm sticking with Kester 245... it 
has served me well. When you figure how far a 1lb. spool will go, the 
price difference is negligible.
