The 1N4148 and 1N914 are virtually identical (ok they are not
quite identical but for audio DIY uses you cannot tell the difference...
so get whatever you can easily and cheaply.

You might want a couple of 1N34A Germanium diodes for distortion box uses...
you might also try a 1N5819 Shottky diode in place of that one...
