Thanks Tom.  It was pointed out to me though that a local seller /does/ 
sell them, but they
are billed as "BCD encoders" instead on their website.  Hence I didn't 
find them.  But they
appear to be the exact same Lorlin hex encoders.  Slightly more 
expensive but no shipping
(they are about two miles from my home...)
