Dunno about the LP-version, but the CD-version of the Manhattan Research record contains a booklet with all kinds of information. I don't remember if it goes into detail about his gear, but it does talk about how Raymond Scott was really paranoid about people stealing his inventions, that being one of the reasons he didn't really sell any instruments IIRC.
