Mark Vervos' site, http://www.simple-answer.com/DIY.html says he has successfully replaced the LF13331 with CMOS analog switches in a Buchla "low pass gate" derivative.

This page, http://mysite.verizon.net/res8aiig/ICparts/ICparts.htm the LF13331 for sale, a bit pricey, almost $12.00 for singles, but I don't really have a feel for what a good price would be for one of these chips.

Subject: [sdiy] Buchla 259a and LF13331 substitute

I'm building a stripped down version of the Buchla 259A VCO, without
any of the remote enable or autotune capabilities. So I've been able
to remove many of the now unnecessary LF13331 Quad SPST JFET Analog
Switches.

I believe that the circuit still needs this part or something very
similar especially in the timbre (square to even) or waveshaping (mod
VCO triangle to sawtooth) part of the circuits, also it's convenient
for the mod oscillator waveform selector.

Has anyone had any success replacing the LF13331 with other quad
analog switches such as the DG445 or DG202 or max332 or......? (I
considered the 4016 but it seems a bit kludgy here and maybe not
enough headroom)

Thanks Dave
