[sdiy] Sliders and envelopes

   or could could do it with an AVR Mega8, 8 sliders and two MAX541s.
This would give you TWO ADSRs with 12 bit resolution and the ability  
to choose slope shapes (linear, expo, rev expo, etc), very few parts  
required for that.
