[sdiy] Sliders and envelopes

That was my problem exactly when I built my "Minotaurus", and wanted to
emulate the Moog Taurus envelopes with a small range of potentiometer values
I had available.
The result can be found here:

I guess that's some kind of resistance multiplier I've devolopped here, back
then - and it actually works, indeed! - but it's a more involved solution
than a good VC envelope could ever be, so except as for an excercise of
emulating a given, vintage circuit, it's pretty useless ...

Subject: [sdiy] Sliders and envelopes

I would like to build an envelope generator with Alps sliders, I can only
get these sliders in 10k log or 50k lin. Is it possible to get normal times
(something between 1 millisecond and 10 seconds) for the attack, decay and
release stages without using a large timing capacitor? Of course I could go
for a voltage controlled envelope generator, but than a lot more components
are involved and I am not specifically looking for voltage control of these
parameters.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Maarten
