Yeah, but would it be plastered with knobs, switches and blinking lights?
There's a reason people are still buying and building analog synthesizers,
and I suspect that it has very little to do with how "powerful" they are
relative to soft synths.

I've got a very nice emulation of a Moog Modular on my computer (Arturia
Moog Modular V), and its fully polyphonic to boot and has a bunch of other
improvements over the original.  The only problem is, it's just not very
much fun to play.  It's like pretending to play a synth.  Perhaps if I were
a professional musician I'd feel very different, but there you have it.
