[sdiy] Rene's 4069 VCO

Another dumb if tangential question 'bout the 4069 VCO:

Given that two inverter gates in the design make for a Schmitt trigger, could you take the saw core and swap the Schmitt section for a 1/6 of a 40106, and repeat the thing six times over (hex Schmitt, hex inverter) for 6 VCOs?
