Me too!  Very interesting book.

Have you started reading it from the front?  I came across a few "weird 
symbols", back-tracked and found that they were only weird because I 
hadn't started at page 1 and followed through.

I'd suggest a careful read before looking for another book (which may 
not exist) because you may find that all will be made clear if you 
resist the temptation to skip-read.
