[sdiy] Why transistors arent square!

There are so many peculiar things they coud do with 8 pin
packages, yet we have these same old drag OP amps! :(

For instance a OP amp that automaticaly phase reverse
for a given voltage, or phase reverse and log at two
different levels, or phase reverse and square at a 
programable level! All would require 2 resistors
not a bag of resistors OPamps and diodes!
Ohh, i could dream forever of things that never be! :)
