Really, do we need to have these kind of political discussions? I'm so tired of hearing peoples whining when it comes to this and the "let's not support china"-stuff. At least the RHoS is an attempt to do *something* even though it might not be perfect, it's a step in the right direction. The fact that the US always try to ruin the rest of the worlds attempts to do things more environmental is probably part of why these things gets so watered down, and it's hardly admirable.
Please, just stop it. More facts less whining.
For me it seems like the little RHoS stuff i've come across fixing gear is not that different, just get different solder, my weller iron works fine with it.
I'll shut up now.
