[sdiy] OT: Roland SP-303 update problem

Hi list, i've got a troublesome Roland Sp-303 on my hands that while in the middle of updating the OS says "err" and stops working. Naturally, the unit does nothing if trying to turn it on normally. The person who owns the unit has tried updating several times but gets the same error every time at the same spot in the updating process. Any clues on how to get it back working or why it'd do this?
