[sdiy] JX-8P with unweighted keys?

If the weights are supposed to be under the end of the keys that you see
looking underneath without opening it up, mine does not have weights. I've seen
reviews over the years where some people think the JX-8P velocity aftertouch
requires too much pressure to have effect. Maybe weights were added to
address these complaints? Just a guess. Personally, I find the JX-8P has close to
real piano-type required forces on the keys; a pretty good design.

To clarify, Roland used the same key for the Jupiters/Junos/JXs. Some had
metal weights glued to the underside (JX-10/Alpha Juno-2) and some were
unweighted (JP-6/JP-8/Juno-60/106/JX-3P). The question is what they used in the
JX-8P. I've only seen weighted ones but it sounds like some JX-8Ps had the
unweighted version.
