Hello all...

I decided to try and rackmount my spare juno 106 parts graveyard i
have laying about!

  oh my!

I googled and found a few neat ideas, mainly the Studio Electronics
conversion seen here:

http://www.studioelectronics.com/main_about_museum.php#5

and someone named Armen in NYC that does conversions (though I am not
sure if he still does this)

http://matrixsynth.blogspot.com/2006/04/racked-juno-106.html

My question is what material is the best to use (by best read
cheapest!)?

I thought about making a case using pine or the like and cutting down
the front panel to a 19" rack size.....

I think it would have to be a 2U unit.

Also, I dont have a spare pitch bender assembly but can i just make
one as long as the specs are he same (how can u not have portamento!)?

Anywho, someone convince me that this is a terrible idea!

Maybe I can get some good practice in designing a custom front panel
using that Schaeffer's Front Panel Designer.... 8^)

Any and all ideas or suggestions VERY WELCOMED...

Cheers,

Nate
