Hi!

Maybe it is the same problem as with the MW1 encoders.
They have been wired wrong for some time. It didn't come up during factory testing as it works for some
time (maybe due to overlapping of the contact areas) but after some time they stop working properly.

The encoders have a A,B and COMMON contact. Waldorf mixed them up on some production series.
I don't remember which two of these 3 signals need to be changed but if you have a multimeter you can
check and fix it.

You can also search on the internet beacuase some months after I changed my MW1 I found an article on the web...

Ciao
Peter

Betreff: [sdiy] Waldorf MW2 encoder problem, any advice?

My Waldorf Microwave 2 has some problems with its 4 pots?/encoders?
(not the big red dial). I have to turn a knob *many* times to get it
to go to the value I want; it skips/jumps, etc - backwards and
forwards seemingly at random.

I'd like to open it up and fix the problem, but I just wanted to ask
around to see if anyone has any recommendations/experience with the
MW2 or problems of this nature in general.

Thanks
