...sorry if I have missed something here as I haven't followed this thread since my post, which I believe was the initial response, but didn't my suggestions cover all of these issues as well as provide a cost effective and durable alternative to the initial concept? Of course I did not cover how to attach the copper shielding strips to the input & output sources, but there are a number of solutions here which all hinge upon the equipment, setup, environment, as well as your creative process....I expected some of the creative minds that are on this list to take my solution to a much higher level, but if we are still considering the contact issues related to thumbtacks it seems like somebody missed something somewhere. I guess that I need to dig through this pile of email in my inbox & catch up with the thread....

Desoldering braid might do the job.
