Hi all.

Somewhere out there, waiting to be discovered, is a typical graph-plot  
that describes the vendor's claimed excellence/superiority of some  
Audiophile equipment like the stuff mentioned so far in this thread, as  
compared to any *actual* measurements that back those claims up.
I suspect it would be inversely proportional..... if it could be drawn  
as a waveform and repeated, what would it sound like?

Throwing in an item's retail cost, and the verbosity of the advertising  
copywriters and customer testimonials would need to factored-in too  
somehow, but that also allows for the possibility of many types of  
bulls**t modulation (TM) to further vary the waveform. Testimonial  
modulation? Exaggeration modulation? Greed Sync?

Gathering data might be tricky, but I'm sure any audio snake-oil  
vendors would be only too happy to provide data for what they think  
might be another sucker....
