I have a cheapo Ryobi ($110 from Home Depot last Christmas) which I use for
both aluminum panels and PC boards. It works pretty well as long as I keep
the belt tension high, particularly on the big holes in aluminum. I
wouldn't recommend drilling any metal harder than aluminum on it (I punch
thin stainless steel for stooge brackets).

Incidentally, I never use the laser, as it doesn't really line up. I
consider it a needless gimmick. Use guide holes or a centre punch.
