PPQN = Part Per Quarter Note.

Is it parts per 'crotchet' or parts per beat/note?

I always thought it was a quarter note (like it says on the box) - i.e. a crotchet - but I've just read a bunch of things that have got me doubting this including an entry by a fairly well respected muso/author that clearly states it's per 'beat'.

24PPQN is 96 ticks per 'whole note' and 384 ticks per bar at 4/4 timing - right?

Bah - ridiculous that I'm second-guessing this.
