I'm satisfied with either the cheap or expensive ones, although they have fallen a bit
in quality in recent years, imho. I think they are using a slightly thinner material.
Still, the dual leaf design has good retention and I've had no troubles.

Subject: AMP Diplomate IC sockets question
Harry,
when you recommended the AMP Diplomate IC sockets, were you
thinking of the cheap ones ? (Part number 1-390261-2, open frame,
tin-plated phosphor bronze contacts.)
