I have, i think, 3 or 4 power one supplies that ive picked up off ebay cheaply over the years.  Ive only actually got one in use at 
the moment.

I can make up some bus boards easy enough.  So its not like there is much financial outlay.

The rest is time...

I suspect itlld be easier to add another 15v system to the 12v than read up on every module, possibly miss one, track down the 
schematics, fix it, etc.etc.

The 12v system works.  And im loath to risk altering that status!  : )
