I've been using a far-eastern ICD2 clone that cost $40, and it's been
brilliant. It came with two ZIF sockets (one for 16F, one for dsPIC)
and you can program just about anything with it. Recommended.
That said, I haven't looked into the new PICKit2. It's supposed to be
a good tool, and a lot cheaper than Microchip's usual, I hear.
